I joined Rotary in 2004 because I was invited to join. Right away, I appreciated the fellowship Rotary has to offer. Much later, I became aware of the larger Rotary world and realized the power of Rotary. Rotary brings clean water to rural communities so children don’t die from water borne illness. Rotary makes it possible for girls to go to school in places where they previously stayed home. Rotary is close to wiping the disease of polio off the planet. Being part of Rotary makes you part of this and so much more. It’s energizing to work with Rotary to make a difference in our community and in the world. Joan M. Renner
