Rotary Club of Central Alexandria Volunteers at Arts & Crafts Festival

Rotarians Florence King and Elisabeth Johnson of the Rotary Club of Alexandria Central volunteered at the Volunteer Alexandria Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday July 27, 2019. Hundreds of Alexandrians as well as numerous visitors to the City gathered at the waterfront at 1 King Street to peruse and purchase from a myriad of vendors who offered an eclectic array of items that included bonsai trees, soaps, jewelry, lithographs, gourmet foods, and many, many varieties of arts and crafts.

The members of the Rotary Club of Alexandria Central were tasked with monitoring the vendors’ booths as necessary as well as crowd control to include speaking with law enforcement officers. However, the most important assignment for Rotarians Florence King and Elisabeth Johnson was helping the vendors to disassemble their booths at the end of the festival and load their vehicles.

Rotarians Florence King and Elisabeth Johnson were delighted to represent the Rotary Club of Alexandria Central at the Volunteer Alexandria Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday July 27, 2019 and at the end of the day took a well-deserved rest with Marion Brunken, the Director of Volunteer Alexandria who thanked the volunteers and said she would very much like to work with the Rotary Club of Alexandria Central on other projects in the future.
